QUALIFICATIONS/ DEGREES
The London insurance market is forever changing, and one of the more recent changes is the inclusion of more accepted qualificaitons that will aid applications in the same way, and sometimes better, than a degree.
By no means do you need to have a degree to get a job in the London market, it is becoming increasingly common that school leavers are finding themselves straight into working in the London market after sixth form/A-levels/B-Techs etc.
With industries like insurance there is much more of a focus on industry qualifications, these are often shorter and less expensive than going to university, so they can definitely serve as an economic alternative that has just as much, if not more, impact than a degree. If you are coming into the London market with a degree this can be very advantageous and it is important to find a number of projects/assignments/coursework that had significant overlap with the skills required for the role you are seeking.

Remember, especially in insurance, simply having a degree does not mean you will get an interview. It is important to utilise it to its fullest potential.
